This song started as a joke in one of my YouTube videos. However, apparently some of my friends liked the song, and I decided to write lyrics and actually record the song properly, with the help of the awesome May Tay Tay.
There are times when I know what to do,
But right now, the floor is falling through.
I don’t know what it means to you,
But now I know what I need to do.
The world’s all a mess,
and people all blame you,
but we all really know,
that’s it’s my fault, too.
I don’t have it all figured out,
And I still have to deal with my doubt,
But today I won’t think about any of that,
Because I never got anywhere by thinking I can’t.
There are times when you need to remember, too,
That even when the floor’s all falling through,
That’s it’s the perfect chance to fly away,
and prove to yourself that aren’t afraid.
I don’t have it all figured out,
And I still have to deal with my doubt,
But today I won’t think about any of that,
Because I never got anywhere by thinking I can’t.
I don’t have it all figured out,
But I’m trying my best, even when it doesn’t work out
I guess I don’t have time to mess about,
Because I won’t know the future, beyond any doubt
I don’t have it all figured out,
And I still have to deal with my doubt,
But today I won’t think about any of that,
Because I never got anywhere by thinking I can’t.
The world’s all a mess,
and people all blame you,
but we all really know,
that’s it’s my fault, too.
Our world’s all a mess,
What did we do?
What if we stopped wondering if
it’s our fault, too?
The world’s all a mess,
and people all blame you,
When there’ just as much to blame
for everything that we do
The world’s all a mess,
What did we do?
We all really know,
that’s it’s my fault, too.
I don’t have it all figured out,
And I still have to deal with my doubt,
But today I won’t think about any of that,
Because I never got anywhere by thinking I can’t.
I don’t have it all figured out,
But I’m trying my best, even when it doesn’t work out
Sometimes I wonder, what will I do?
To remember when it’s tough, that it’s my fault, too.
